360 Security will ensure that nothing malicious lurks on the web or download files. It can prevent access to potentially dangerous websites or browser histories, scan your browsing history, monitor the amount of data you’re consuming and even track down your missing phone.
The suite also includes firewalls, a shredder of data and scheduled tools for cleaning the system. It can update drivers automatically with anti-tracking tools and even grants you privileged tech support access by just a single click.
The interface of the software is user-friendly and user-friendly, even though there are many options and settings. The majority of settings are controlled via a large switch or button. This is great from an ergonomics standpoint. The program is accessible on both Windows and Mac and is free to use (ad-supported).
The antivirus does an excellent job of protecting your PC from malware. Its real-time detection detects more than 95% of threats and hasn’t caused false positives during my tests. It doesn’t offer the same degree of detection as other top products in terms of file scanning and heuristics.
360 Total Security comes with various security and maintenance features. A VPN is included in the premium version. Its heuristic engine detects malware by looking at a program’s behavior. This could be extremely useful, especially if the threat isn’t well-known and doesn’t have a signature yet. The program also comes with a ‘cleanup’ utility and other tune-up tools that can assist in improving PC performance.
